For the noobs, a Linksys router is all that is needed for a home network. But, not for me. Below is an image of my completed home networking, telco and video distribution panel (the whole thing is on hinges allowing me to swing it out from the wall).
Current setup:
> Cable TV [Black], distributed to 11 locations (1 more avail)
> Telco [Yellow], distributed to 11 locations (1 more avail). Each drop supports 2-3 lines. All lines could support 4 lines if I replace the existing cables
> Networking [Green], currently includes 20 drops to 10 locations (3 more avail). Only 7 drops are active, plan to purchase a 24-port switch to support all drops.

Confusing NO
First comes the modem, then blue thing that's router (LOL) Next is RJ 45 patch panel. That separates the internet signal to seven computer.
The coaxial panel is the black thing in the middle. That is for your TV signal.
